Bahama Bay Pool Reopening – Phase III
Risks: An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are
present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and
death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Senior Citizens and
guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. By visiting Bahama Bay
each person voluntarily assumes all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
Location: Tradewinds (daily); Club House (weekends ONLY); Splashpad (weekends ONLY)
Times: 10am ~ 2pm and 3pm ~ 7pm (closed for cleaning from 2pm ~ 3pm)
Limits: Tradewinds: 24 total guests in pool and on pool deck + 24 total guests on beach area
Club House: 24 total guests in pool and on pool deck
Splashpad: 24 total guests in Splashpad enclosure
First come-first served (i.e. one person can’t ‘hold’ space for other members in their party);
If capacity is reached, other guests must wait for someone to leave
Chairs: The resort will provide a limited number of tables with umbrellas and chairs around the
pool deck – no loungers will be placed around the pool deck; the resort will provide a
limited number of loungers in the beach area; all tables and chairs will be spaced based on
Polk County and WHO guidelines
Sanitizing: Chairs, tables and loungers will be wiped down/sanitized prior to each new guest usage and
all surfaces will be wiped/sanitized during closed times
Restrictions: No personal furniture or flotation devices; All guests must leave pool area between 2pm
and 3pm for cleaning without exception; NO personal food or beverages with the exception
of bottled water (food/drink purchased from Tradewinds is allowed)
Monitor: The resort will provide a monitor for the pool area; they are there to ensure the safety of all
guests and their directions must be followed at all times
Closing: The pool will be closed on days where the amount of rain between 10am and 7pm is
forecasted to exceed four hours, or any time at the sole discretion of the Board, the
Property Manager or his delegate
Washroom: Washrooms will be available and sanitized regularly
Hot Tubs: Closed for the time being
Splashpad: Open weekends only from 10am until 7pm. There will be no chairs or tables provided.
Guests must adhere to social distancing guidelines. Limit 24 people at a time
